As part of the atmospheric corrosion-resistant steel family, SMA400BW is specifically designed to form a stable oxide film, also known as a protective patina, when exposed to natural weather conditions. This protective layer reduces the penetration of moisture and oxygen, thereby slowing down corrosion and significantly extending the service life of the steel.
