Q500D low alloy steel plate surface quality
1) Defects harmful to use such as cracks, bubbles, scars, folds and inclusions are not allowed on the surface of the steel plate. There must be no delamination on the sides of the steel plate. If there are any above-mentioned surface defects, cleaning is allowed. The cleaning depth shall be calculated from the actual size of the steel plate and shall not exceed half of the thickness tolerance of the steel plate. The minimum thickness of the steel plate shall be guaranteed. Defect cleaning areas should be smooth and without edges.
2) Other defects are allowed to exist, and their depth shall not exceed half of the allowable thickness tolerance calculated from the actual size of the steel plate, and it shall be ensured that the thickness of the steel plate at the defective location is not less than the allowable lower limit thickness of the steel plate.
3) Welding repair is allowed on the steel plate. If welding repair is performed after quenching and tempering, it should be quenched and tempered again.
4) The quality of the standard surface can be in accordance with the provisions of GB/T14977.
