ASME SA662 Grade A Boiler Quality Steel Plates Product Description
SA662 Grade A pressure vessel steel plate is a carbon manganese silicon steel plate for medium and low temperature pressure vessels. The steel plate is killed steel with high strength, high toughness, fatigue resistance, impact resistance, wear resistance and other excellent properties.
SA662 Grade A Pressure Vessel Quality Steel Surface Quality
1. Defects such as cracks, bubbles, scars, folds and inclusions are not allowed on the surface of the steel plate. If there are any above-mentioned surface defects, cleaning is allowed. The cleaning depth shall not exceed half of the thickness tolerance of the steel plate calculated from the actual size of the steel plate, and the minimum thickness of the steel plate shall be guaranteed. Defect cleaning areas should be smooth and without edges. Steel plates must not be delaminated.
2. Other defects are allowed to exist, and their depth shall not exceed half of the allowable thickness tolerance calculated from the actual size of the steel plate, and it shall be ensured that the thickness of the defect is not less than the allowable minimum thickness of the steel plate.
SA662 Grade A pvq plate production process flow:
Production process: primary refining → LF refining → VD treatment → continuous casting (mold casting) → cleaning, heating → rolling → (stacking) → surface inspection → batch → flaw detection → heat treatment → cutting and sampling → performance inspection → warehousing.
