Products Description
S460G2+Q is a high yield structural steel plate designed for use in offshore structures, such as oil & gas platforms.
GNEE STEEL offers S460G2- a structural grade steel for specific use in the offshore industry as supplied under specification EN10025:2001.With a minimum yield strength of 460 N/mm2, S460G2 is engineered specifically for use in the building of offshore structures such as service platforms and oil rigs.The material can be supplied as S460G2+Q (Quenched) or S460G2+M (thermomechanically rolled).
EN 10225 applies to steels for offshore structures, designed to operate in the offshore sector but not to steels supplied for the fabrication of subsea pipelines, risers, process equipment, process piping, and other utilities. Oil and offshore platform steel plate S460G2+M owned the minimum yield strength at 460 Mpa, and the tensile strength is within 540-700 Mpa. TMCP heat treatment is compulsory for S460G2+M steel plates for any thickness when rolling the Steel S460g2+M.
