S460G1+M Steel Material Products Description
Grade S460G1+M offshore platform steel is a type of European standard steel plate. It is a weldable structural steel for fixed coastal structures. Its delivery status is thermo-mechanical rolling, and the impact is -40 degree impact test. The 1 after G indicates the correlation of steel type characteristics. Steel plate for offshore structure grade S460G1 is supplied under the specification EN10225:2001.The steel plate which is available in either quenched (Q) or thermo-mechanically rolled (M) condition, is used in the construction of fixed offshore structures including oil rigs and service platforms.With higher yield and tensile strength, the material has good weldability characteristics and can be supplied as heavy carbon steel plates or fabricated sections.
