Products Description

An alloy made of tungsten and molybdenum is referred to as tungsten-molybdenum alloy. The tungsten content of commonly used tungsten-molybdenum alloys is 30% to 50% (mass). The procedure used to prepare tungsten-molybdenum alloys, which can be used to create rods, plates, wires, and other shapes, is the same as the one used to prepare metal molybdenum and metal molybdenum alloys.

Molybdenum-tungsten alloys are divided into three types based on their tungsten content: MW20, MW30 and MW50. These alloys are characterized by good performance at high temperatures, improved corrosion resistance and enhanced etchability. MW30 consists of 70% molybdenum and 30% tungsten.

Tungsten has the highest melting point and lowest vapor pressure of all metals, and at the temperatures over 1650°C has the highest tensile strength. It has excellent corrosion resistance and is attacked only slightly by most mineral acids. (0.65mm Diameter, 100 ft)
