Products Description
40Mn2 This is a kind of carbon tempered manganese steel, steel strength, plasticity and wear resistance are high, machinability and heat treatment process performance is also good, in the oil critical quenching diameter of 8.5 ~ 23mm, in the water critical quenching diameter of 20 ~ 42mm; However, there is temper brittleness and overheating sensitivity, and it is easy to crack during quenching. This steel has white spot sensitivity, cold deformation plasticity is not high, poor weldability, need to preheat to 100 ~ 425℃ before welding.
Product Features
The strength, plasticity and wear resistance of the steel are high, the machinability and heat treatment process performance are also good, and the critical quenching diameter in the oil reaches 8.5 ~ 23mm, and the critical quenching diameter in the water reaches 20 ~ 42mm. However, there is temper brittleness and overheating sensitivity, and it is easy to crack during quenching.
