JIS G3115 specifies the hot‐rolled steel plates with improved weldability to be used for pressure vessels equipments for high pressure service (excluding those to be used for high temperature and low temperature services.
This Japanese Industrial Standard specifies the hot-rolled steel plates with improved weldability to be used for pressure vessels,equipments for high pressure service, etc.(excluding those to be used for high temperature and low temperature)
SPV410: This steel plate has medium strength and good toughness, suitable for general medium temperature pressure vessel manufacturing.
SPV450: This steel plate has a high yield strength and tensile strength and is suitable for the manufacture of pressure vessels requiring higher load carrying capacity.
SPV490: This steel plate is the strongest of the three, with excellent tensile strength and impact toughness, suitable for the manufacture of pressure vessels and equipment operating in extreme conditions.
