P500QH Pressure Vessel Plate Introduction

1. Introduction to P500QH steel plate:

P500QH steel plate is a weldable fine-grained steel for pressure vessels. It is a European standard steel plate that fulfills the EN10028-6 standard. The corresponding number in EN10027-2 is 1.8874. P500 grade steel is divided according to quality grade: P500Q basic series, P500QH high temperature function series, P500QL1 low temperature function as low as -40℃ series, P500QL2 low temperature function as low as -60℃ series.

2. Heat treatment status of P500QH steel plate:

It is delivered in the quenching and tempering heat treatment condition of quenching + tempering. The purchaser can add flaw detection standard requirements, flaw detection grade requirements, alloy element composition control requirements, thickness direction functional requirements (Z-direction function), etc. when making inquiries or ordering. However, This needs to be stated in the contract. Wugang's custom-rolled P500QH European standard quenched and tempered steel plate meets the requirements of the EN3.1 certificate [thickness above 10mm].

3. Chemical composition of P500QH steel plate:

Grade

C Si Mn P S N B Cr Mo Cu Nb Ni Ti V Zr
P500QH ≤0.18 ≤0.6 ≤1.7 ≤0.025 ≤0.01 ≤0.015 ≤0.005 ≤1.0 ≤0.7 ≤0.3 ≤0.05 ≤1.5 ≤0.05 ≤0.08 ≤0.15

4. Surface quality requirements of P500QH steel plate:

(1) The surface of the steel plate should not have harmful defects such as bubbles, scars, cracks, folds, inclusions, and pressed iron oxide scales that affect its use. The steel should not have visually visible layering.

(2) The surface of the steel is allowed to have a thin layer of iron oxide scale, rust, and inconspicuous roughness, reticulation, scratches and other local defects caused by pressing into the iron oxide scale and rollers that do not hinder the inspection of surface defects, but their depth is not limited. This is greater than half the tolerance of the steel thickness, and the lower limit of the steel thickness should be guaranteed.
