A299GrB steel sheet stock with minimum yield strength above 325 Mpa,and tensile strength within 550-690 Mpa.
Compared with pressure vessel steel plate A299 Grade A,yield strength above 290 Mpa and tensile strength within 515-655 Mpa,pressure vessel steel plate SA299 Grade B owned a higher values.
Additional technical requirements for boiler steel plates SA299 Grade B such as simulated post-weld heat treatment,low temperature impcting test,drop weight test and high temperature tension testing.
Ultrasonice test have to be done for A299 Grade B steel plate when rolling in our steel mill.

A: ASTM A299 material is a manganese-silicon carbon steel plate for use in welder boilers and other pressure vessels. ASTM A299 pressure vessel plates under this specification are produced in two grades. The steel shall be killed and shall conform to the fine austenitic grain size requirement.
