Recently, GNEE Group successfully completed the production of the Q345 pressure vessel plate order. A total of 1,410 tons of steel plates across three batches were fully delivered to the customer, marking a new level in GNEE's technical strength in the field of high-end special steel.
As the core material for oil storage tanks, pressure vessel plates have extremely strict requirements on surface quality and performance indicators. In this project order, the Heavy Plate Business Unit achieved a major breakthrough of 100% performance qualification rate through technological research. It also strictly controlled the surface quality grinding area, improving the precision by nearly ten times compared with the standard for ordinary steel plates. Behind this achievement is the Heavy Plate Business Unit's comprehensive optimization and strict control of the production process.
To overcome technical difficulties, the technical team narrowed the fluctuation range of heat treatment temperature and ensured performance stability through refined operations. During the production process, quality monitoring links were added throughout the entire workflow. From steel plate flaw detection, shot blasting to cutting and shipment, dedicated personnel were arranged for full-process tracking. Moreover, soft protective materials such as rubber and wood were installed at the contact parts between equipment (e.g., plate turnover machines, special steel frames for inspection) and steel plates to minimize surface damage. In addition, in response to the customer's arrangement of third-party supervision for full-process oversight, GNEE Group took the initiative to cooperate in completing the sampling and testing of each steel plate, ensuring transparent data and reliable quality.
This order had tight delivery schedules and heavy tasks. The production of the three batches under the contract was launched sequentially from October to December last year. Despite the impact of objective factors such as year-end maintenance, GNEE Group still completed the delivery by the end of March this year through efficient coordination, which was ahead of the industry average level. According to feedback from the user's application, this batch of products well met the quality requirements.
The successful delivery of the high-grade pressure vessel plate order holds multiple strategic significances for GNEE Group. On one hand, the high-difficulty order has forced GNEE to achieve systematic improvements in equipment precision, process implementation and quality management, accumulating experience for the subsequent development of the high-end market.
