AH32 is a marine steel plate, mainly used in the manufacture of hulls and decks of ocean-going, coastal and inland waterway vessels.
Marine steel plate refers to the hot rolled steel plate produced in accordance with the requirements of the Classification Society's construction specifications for the manufacture of hull structures.
It is mainly used for manufacturing the hull and deck of ocean-going, coastal and inland navigation ships. Ships work in harsh environments, the hull shell to withstand seawater chemical corrosion, electrochemical corrosion and sea life, microbial corrosion; but also to withstand the impact of large wind and waves and the role of alternating loads; coupled with the complexity of the ship processing and molding and other reasons, so the hull structure of the steel requirements are stringent. Good toughness is the most critical requirement, in addition, to have high strength, good corrosion resistance, welding performance, processing and molding performance and surface quality. Its Mn/C ratio should be above 2.5, and there are strict requirements on carbon equivalent, and produced by the steel mills recognized by the ship inspection department.
Hull structural steel is divided into general strength and high strength steel, general strength steel quality is divided into A, B, D, and E 4 levels; high strength steel is divided into two strength levels and three quality levels: AH32, DH32, EH32, AH36, DH36, EH36.
