Microanalysis of biphase wear-resistant plate 2205 hot rolled steel strip with iron oxide
The structure of biphase wear-resistant plate 2205 is usually composed of equal proportion of ferrite and austenite two phases, which has the advantages of ferrite wear-resistant plate and austenite wear-resistant plate, high strength and good corrosion resistance. The oxide sheet formed on the surface of the biphase wear-resistant plate during the hot rolling process will not only have a great impact on the production process such as pickling, causing the steel strip oxide sheet to be difficult to remove after pickling, and the surface color is gray, but also the most direct cause of the oxide sheet pressing and other defects during the cold rolling process. These defects not only affect the appearance quality of the product, but also reduce the processing performance of the steel strip. In severe cases, it can lead to material failure.
OM, SEM and XRD techniques were used to analyze and study the microstructure characteristics of biphase wear-resistant plate 2205 hot-rolled steel strip, which is one of the essential factors to determine the pickling effect of steel strip.
The results show that there are a large number of cracks on the surface of the wear-resistant plate steel strip and some parts of the oxide strip fall off after hot rolling, which is conducive to pickling. The thickness of the oxide sheet is generally about 10μm, but there are some regional thickening of the oxide layer and the embedding of the oxide sheet into the matrix. The oxide sheet contains ferriolivine (Fe2SiO4) and spinel structure Cr2O3·FeO and other phases which are difficult to pickling, which increases the difficulty of removing the oxide sheet from the surface of the wear-resistant plate steel strip.
