Study and analysis of the performance of wear-resistant plate by cryogenic treatment
After cryogenic treatment, the relative wear resistance of the die is increased by 40%, and after extending the cryogenic treatment time, the relative wear resistance is increased when the hardness does not change much.
In the cryogenic treatment process, a large number of residual austenite is transformed into martensite. In particular, susaturated metastable martensite will reduce susaturation during the process from -196℃ to room temperature, and precipitates dispersed ultra-fine carbides with a size of only 20-60A and a uniform relationship with the matrix, which can reduce the lattice distortion of martensite and reduce the microscopic stress. The fine and dispersed carbide can hinder the dislocation movement during the plastic deformation of the wear-resistant plate, thus strengthening the matrix structure.
At the same time, due to the precipitation of ultrafine carbide particles, which are evenly distributed on the martensite matrix, the grain boundary catalysis is weakened, and the thinning of the matrix structure not only weakens the degree of segregation of impurity elements in the grain boundary, but also plays the role of grain boundary strengthening, thus improving the performance of the wear-resistant plate, and significantly improving the hardness, impact toughness and wear resistance. The hardness of the mold is high, and its wear resistance is good, such as the hardness is increased from 60HRC to 62-63HRC, and the wear resistance of the mold is increased by 30%-40%.
