SEV245 Alloy Boiler Plate

SEV245 is a container plate material in the Japanese JIS G3124 standard. JIS G3124 is a standard for carbon steel and low alloy steel plates suitable for pressure-resistant welded vessels.

The chemical composition and mechanical property requirements of SEV245 steel plate are as follows:

Chemical composition (unit: %):

Carbon (C): no more than 0.18%
Silicon (Si): no more than 0.35%
Manganese (Mn): 0.60-1.50%
Phosphorus (P): not more than 0.030%
Sulfur (S): not more than 0.030%
Heat-resistant elements: niobium (Nb) or vanadium (V)
Mechanical performance requirements:

Yield Strength: minimum 245 MPa
Tensile Strength: 400-510 MPa
Elongation: minimum 25%
SEV245 steel plate is usually used to manufacture pressure-resistant welded vessels, such as pressure vessels and storage tanks. It has appropriate strength and pressure resistance and is suitable for general container applications.
