SEV295 Pressure Vessel Plates

SEV295 is a container plate material in the Japanese JIS G3124 standard. JIS G3124 is applicable to carbon steel and low alloy steel plates for pressure-resistant welded vessels.

The chemical composition and mechanical properties requirements of SEV295 steel plate are as follows:

Carbon (C): no more than 0.18%
Silicon (Si): no more than 0.35%
Manganese (Mn): 0.90-1.60%
Phosphorus (P): not more than 0.030%
Sulfur (S): not more than 0.030%
Heat-resistant elements: niobium (Nb) or vanadium (V)
Mechanical performance requirements:

Yield Strength: minimum 295 MPa
Tensile Strength: 440-570 MPa
Elongation: minimum 22%
SEV295 steel plate has appropriate strength and pressure resistance and is suitable for the manufacture of pressure-resistant welded vessels. It is commonly used in the manufacture of pressure vessels, storage tanks and other vessels that need to withstand high pressure environments.
