Grade A Shipbuilding Steel Plate Products Description
Grade A hull structural steel is a steel used for hull construction.All steel for hull structure shall be produced by steel mills recognized by Classification Societies, and products qualified by inspection shall bear the seal of Classification Societies. The steel smelting method can be flat furnace, electric furnace or alkaline oxygen blowing converter steelmaking method, if other methods are used, they should be specially approved by the classification society. The made steel should also be tested according to the regulations, and the test includes chemical composition analysis and physical test, of which the physical test items are mainly: tensile test, cold bending test and impact test.
