(1) Low power acid invasion test
Sampling on the billet or steel, after turning, and then eroded by acid, observe the defects of the steel on different sections, such as shrinkage, looseness, segregation, bubbles, inclusions, etc.
(2) Fracture test
Take the sample according to the regulations, after heat treatment, break it with impact force, and observe the fracture situation, such as checking the "white spot".
(3) Tower shape test
Take a certain length of test bar along the longitudinal direction of the rolling, and then turn into three diameter samples with different thicknesses, and check whether there are hair lines (fine crack defects) on different sections.
(4) Sulfur seal
Common methods for inspecting steel ingots or billets: planing the cross section and developing it on printing paper, it can be clearly seen that the distribution of sulfide in the steel and the low magnification defects of the steel.
(5) Ultrasonic flaw detection
A non-destructive test, to observe the internal defects of the steel through the propagation of ultrasonic waves.
