16MnCr5 gear steel is used after carburizing and quenching. It is mainly used to manufacture gears, worm gears, seal sleeves and other parts. 16MnCr5 is a steel type introduced from Germany, which is equivalent to my country's 16CrMnH steel (refer to GB/T5216-2004). It has good hardenability and machinability. For parts with larger cross-sections, higher surface hardness and resistance can be obtained after heat treatment. Abrasion resistance and low temperature impact toughness are also high.
