Key points of low alloy steel smelting process
(1) Create good furnace conditions and try not to smelt in the first 10 furnaces before the new furnace and the first furnace after repairing the furnace;
(2) The quality requirements for low alloy steel are relatively strict. Therefore, harmful gases and inclusions in the steel should be removed as much as possible during the smelting process. Except for P-containing steel, the content of harmful components phosphorus and sulfur should be reduced as much as possible. It is necessary to strengthen the oxygen supply and slagging operations to ensure good boiling of the molten pool and improve the early dephosphorization rate. We must do a good job of dephosphorization and desulfurization throughout the blowing process, and strive to achieve deep dephosphorization and desulfurization;
(3) Use the carbon drawing method to control the end point and avoid back blowing to reduce the oxygen content in the steel and increase the alloy and metal yield. This will help improve the quality of the steel and reduce the aging tendency of the steel, and control the tapping temperature well. Avoid high temperature steel;
(4) Strengthen deoxidation operations.
(5) Maintain the tapping port well, strengthen tapping operations, reduce slag as much as possible when tapping, and prevent slag steel from mixing out. Phosphating back must be prevented. After tapping, lime should be added to the ladle to thicken the slag.
