SCM435/SCM3 is a JIS standard low alloy chromium molybdenum steel
SCM435 (SCM3) has high yield strength and hardness and is suitable for working conditions with high stress and impact loads. SCM435 has good toughness and can maintain a certain degree of ductility under high strength requirements. SCM435 has good wear resistance and is suitable for manufacturing parts and tools that require wear resistance.

use:
Bolts and Nuts: Due to its high strength and hardness, SCM435 is often used to make bolts and nuts that withstand high tensile and shear strengths.
High-load parts: SCM435 is used to manufacture parts and components that bear high loads, such as automotive transmission parts, mechanical connectors, and wind power generation equipment.
Spring and elastic elements: SCM435's high strength and toughness make it an ideal material for manufacturing springs and elastic elements.

Heat treatment:
1. Solution treatment: Heat SCM435 to a high temperature (usually 850°C-900°C), keep it for a certain period of time, and then cool it quickly to improve its hardness and strength.
2. Normalizing treatment: After solution treatment, SCM435 is heated to a suitable temperature (usually 800°C-850°C), kept warm for a period of time, and then quickly cooled. This improves its organization and increases resilience.
3. Tempering treatment: After normalizing, SCM435 can be tempered. The heating temperature is controlled between 150°C-300°C. Keeping it in this temperature range for a period of time will help reduce internal stress and improve toughness.
